History of Chaplaincy

The U.S. Army Chaplain Corps is one of the oldest and smallest branches of the Army.  The Chaplain Corps dates back to 29 July 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized one chaplain for each regiment of the Continental Army, with pay equaling that of a captain.  In addition to chaplains serving in Continental regiments, many militia regiments counted chaplains among their ranks. There are different denominational chaplains. Four are very popular, They represent major faith groups: Catholic, Protestant, Jewish and Muslim.  The globally recognized highest rank of military chaplain is Major-General. Regardless of the rank, the proper title for any chaplain is "Chaplain". Not captain, major, colonel, or general. The issue of ranks and insignia had blind-folded many and taken them out from God’s path to perdition.

Who is a Chaplain?

Chaplain, originally a priest or minister who had charge of a chapel, now an ordained member of the clergy who is assigned to a special ministry.  In the recent times, Chaplains go to places where an average minister of God is afraid to go to preach Christ and administer packages in the name of the Gospel. Places like correctional centres, hospitals, motor parks, marketplaces, offices have been visited by Chaplains.  Other names for Chaplain are: priest, pastor, clergy, minister, padre, cleric, rabbi, preacher, etc.

Brotherly Love Int’l Missionary Chaplain (BLIMIC)

Brotherly Love Int’l Missionary Chaplain (BLIMIC) is purely an evangelistic Chaplain organization which is committed towards rescuing people from the gate of hell.  BLIMIC strictly follows the “Go Ye Command” which is the primary responsibility of every Chaplain.  We are redefining Chaplaincy and restoring its dignity.

BLIMIC is well structured with a working system.  Right from joining to ranking, you know what to do and how to rise in ranks and position.  Here’s 5-step towards becoming a commissioned Missionary Chaplain in BLIMIC.

Steps to Becoming Commissioned Missionary Chaplain

1. Join a Mission Home

2. Attend MIT101 Course

3. Have a Mission Home

4. Attend EFM201 Course

5. Get Commissioned and Decorated

Andrew Multilevel Evangelistic Network (AMEN).

Andrew Multilevel Evangelistic Network (AMEN) is a practical step towards winning souls using Andrew’s strategy as recorded in John 1:41: “The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, ‘We have found the Messiah-the Christ’”. AMEN uses operation Million Souls for Jesus (MISFOJ) to preach the Gospel.

The followings are the laid down strategies to make this vision a reality

1. Aggressive personal evangelism: one-on-one
2. Group evangelism: Outreach-seminar & revival
3. Meeting days: Mondays@5:00pm – prayer, training, discussion, testimony, etc
4. Missioner Ambassadors: A group of wealthy Christians releasing fund for the sponsorship and campaign of this vision
5. Publications: Tracts, newsletters, books, tapes (audio & video) relaying the vision to the general public
6. Media: Promotion through print media (newspaper), electronic media (Radio, TV & Cable) and social media handles: Facebook, WhatsApps, Instagram, Telegram, YouTube, etc).
7. Special meetings: (quarterly and yearly) for reward, award and re-engineering the vision towards reaching lost souls.
8. Daily devotion: This will help the new converts grow in the Lord as they commune with the Lord every day in prayer and bible study.
9. Team Leader:  Leaders shall be appointed based on their spiritual, mental and physical capacity to monitor the converts' spiritual progress and attend to their basic needs.  Leader of 12, leader of 144, Leader of 1,728, etc would be strategically put in place for accountability, effectiveness and efficiency.

10. Mission Homes:  Mission Homes shall be strategically situated in different locations where the Leader of the home would be monitoring spiritual progress of Gospel Missioners and relay information from Local Command to them.
